The STEAMigPOWER Virtual Learning
Environment (VLE) recognises learners’ achievements through a digital
certification and badge system integrated within the Moodle platform.
These badges and certificates are awarded to participants who
successfully complete online learning activities and courses related to
STEAM education, social inclusion, sustainability, climate change, and
digital storytelling.
The certification system serves as a
formal recognition of the knowledge, skills, and competences acquired
throughout the STEAMigPOWER learning journey. It motivates learners to
actively engage with the educational content while providing them with
verifiable evidence of participation and achievement. Digital badges can
showcase specific competences gained during the courses, while
certificates acknowledge the successful completion of broader learning
modules or programmes.
As part of the STEAMigPOWER mission,
the badge system supports inclusive and accessible lifelong learning
opportunities for migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and other learners
worldwide. The digital format allows participants to easily share their
achievements across educational, professional, and social platforms,
promoting visibility of their learning progress and encouraging further
educational engagement.
The STEAMigPOWER VLE was developed
to create an open and collaborative online learning environment that
extends beyond the duration of the Erasmus+ project. Through its
certification framework, the platform reinforces the value of non-formal
and online education while supporting the recognition of learners’
efforts and accomplishments in STEAM-related fields.
